AMAZING ‘American Ninja Warrior Playground’ Will Make You Want To Be A Kid Again!

Every week, some of the most courageous and fittest people decide to step on to the difficult course in an attempt to win the title of ‘American Ninja Warrior’ and viewers from around the world crowd around their televisions to enjoy it. A competitor goes through four stages before claiming the grand prize of $1,0000,000. Obstacle courses inspired by the highly popular TV show are the latest trend hitting the fitness industry. These ‘American Ninja Warrior’ based playgrounds are great for jumping, running, climbing, vaulting and balancing activities intended to create a fun adventure combined with the ideal workout opportunity. These American Ninja Warrior Playground are not just meant for children; they offer a great challenging fun for the entire family to enjoy and compete together.

A number of playgrounds have been set up in different parts based on the concept of ‘American Ninja Warrior’ and today, we talk about the recently opened playground in the Twin Cities. Fans of the highly popular reality show would surely love to practice their skills at the newly opened playground which is the first of its kind in Minnesota. The city introduces the state’s first obstacle course and the all-new accessible turf playground.

American Ninja Warrior Playground

Minnesota’s first outdoor fitness challenge course including the playground based on ‘American Ninja Warrior’ show opened on September 9 at Golden Valley’s Schaper Park, 631 Ottawa Ave N. The obstacle course is designed to encourage active lifestyle for visitors and the inclusive play area allows families consisting of members of different ability levels and all ages to enjoy with the all new equipment. Resembling the American Ninja Warrior, the challenge course features obstacles which the participants should navigate under, over, through and around as they race to beat the time. The course is intended for ages 13 and above. Obstacles on the Schaper Park course include suspended bags, nets and other challenges inspired by Ninja Warrior.

Competitors press a button and when the green light is seen, they race across the course as the timer runs. They hop, climb or weave through different structures built all over, including boxing bags like equipment, obstacles, and nets. Once they get through, they touch the sensor and the timer shows the time taken to complete the challenge. Quite a Ninja Warrior feel!

Younger kids and people with different interests and abilities can enjoy at the all-inclusive play area which is wheelchair accessible. The park has parking and restroom facilities available to regional trail users and the all-new play equipment and challenge course take the trail experience to the next level.

Alabama based company GameTime has manufactured the equipment of the challenge course. It has also developed an application which allows contestants to find their friends, log times and track progress and compete with others. The park also features a ‘selfie wall’ that lets people capture pictures of their accomplishments and share their experience with others.

The project is undertaken by a partnership involving Three Rivers Park District that operates the Luce Line Trail, The City, Minnesota/Wisconsin Playground and Paul’s Pals. The company has also opened similar courses in other states but this one is the first to be opened in Minnesota and is intended to convert into a big attraction for families living in nearby areas. This  American Ninja Warrior Playground is for 5 years kids to up to 85 years old visitors and there are numerous ways to use it, depending on individual ability. Those who like biking can enjoy it along the Luce Line Trail connecting the Golden Valley with the Theodore With Park and the western suburbs. Schaper Park is located to the west of Theodore Wirth Park Off Highway 55.
