25) Veltins-Arena – $218 Million

Veltins Arena is a football stadium located in Gelsenkirchen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is the home ground of professional German association-football club FC Shalke 04. This hi-tech stadium has a retractable roof and a retractable pitch. It has 90 executive suites and has a seating capacity of 61,973. It hosted five matches in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Veltins Arena has served as a model for the University of Phoenix Stadium. The construction cost € 191 million ($218 million).

24) Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex – $220 Million

This multi-use sports and recreation facility is located in Kyiv, Ukraine. Also known as Olympic Stadium, the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex is the premier sports venue in Ukraine. It is the second largest stadium in Eastern Europe. The stadium hosted football matches in the 1980 Summer Olympics. It was renovated few years back and was reopened in 2011. Currently it can comfortably seat 70,050 people. The complex cost UAH 4.5 billion ($220 million).

23) Stadion Miejski, Wroclaw – $240 Million

Also known as the Municipal Stadium, the Stadion Miejski is located in Wroclaw, Poland. It is the highest fourth category football stadium built for the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship. It is the home of the Polish football club Slask Wroclaw. Stadion Miejski is the third largest stadium in Poland and can seat 42,771 people. The stadium is well-known for its distinctive shape. The building is covered by glass fiber mesh coated with Teflon. It cost PLN 857 million ($240 million).
